Dolphin Watching w/ Marine Biologists

Starting at the Marina de Lagos, our team will welcome you on board where you'll be provided with a lifejacket and depending on weather conditions, a windbreaker.

As the boat heads out to the ocean, a Marine Biologist will briefly explain how the search for dolphins and other marine wildlife, in their natural habitat, occurs.

The western Algarve harbours several species throughout the year, being an exciting region for a marine safari! Our team will conduct the search based on their extensive knowledge of the area, including looking into "hotspots". We invite you to join us on this quest searching for dolphins, fish and other aquatic species! In addition, if time and conditions allow it, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful coastline.

In the presence of these captivating marine mammals, our Marine Biologist will identify the species and collect scientific data (pod characterization, behaviour information, and so on) for preservation efforts. Taking into account good practices on how to approach these animals, our team will be considerative of their well-being and the maximum time allowed by Portuguese law to be in their company (30 minutes).

The tour will conclude with an engaging debriefing, in which our Marine Biologists share information about the sightings and cetaceans - combining Adventure with Awareness.

This marine experience will take place for 1.5 to 2 hours, aiming to excell and provide a meaningfull experience to our clients. As it is a marine safari, it will always be a search for wildlife. Who knows what we'll find?
