It is as much about being in a landscape as it is moving through it. We will take our time to walk to our camp spot, exploring along the way. We will discover the human and natural history of the area and gain an understanding of the science behind how the landscape was formed and how it has been shaped over time.
When we reach our place for the night we will set up the tents together and have the opportunity to learn about various aspects of camp craft e.g. where to get water, how to choose a comfy spot, cooking arrangements and even how to go to the toilet! There will be plenty of free time to relax in this place as well as other options such as; a workshop on navigation and map skills, plant identification, an evening stroll or wild swim.
The following morning, we will explore a little further from our camp before heading back to our start point. Depending on the location there may be the option to reach a mountain summit.
There are several locations to choose from which offer a variety of landscapes from wild glens to mountain tops and differing levels of physical challenge. Locations include: the world-famous Glen Roy; Upper Glen Nevis and Stob Ban in the Mamore mountain range.
All of the camping equipment and food is provided as part of the experience.
