Glacier Adventure takes you on an educational glacier walk with a twist of an ice climb. Where the students are shown how climate change are affecting the glacier retreat. After the tour on the glacier, we take the group to our Glacier - and Mountain centre where we BBQ and do group work about sustainability and climate change.

Öræfaskólinn offers a broad introduction to the nature and history of Öræfi through experiencing the glaciers, mountains, sands and forests first-hand. On the three-day adventure you will gain insight into the flora and fauna, the incredibly varied geology, the history of glaciation and volcanic activity, as well as the history of the inhabitant’s coexistence with the unforgiving nature of the area.
